Laurie hurtt |Senior Vice President of Strategy & Legal

Laurie Hurtt is CDP’s Senior Vice President of Strategy & Legal. She oversees risk management and compliance, advises on critical business matters and leads strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining CDP, Laurie worked at WGBH as a Senior Director and Counsel, partnering with executives on strategic operations initiatives, including the stand-up of CDP as a public benefit corporation, the formation of Public Media Management and renegotiation of the organization’s labor agreements.

Laurie has over 20 years of legal experience, having worked as a lawyer at Greenberg Traurig LLP and Hanify & King, P.C., prior to joining WGBH. Laurie graduated from Smith College and Boston College Law School, magna cum laude, and served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. 

She lives with her wife, son, dogs and cats in Sudbury, MA. Outside of work, Laurie enjoys a scenic hike with her dogs, watches lots of kids’ baseball and is always up for a good book!
