CDP Launches Innovation Council: Shaping the Future of Public Media Fundraising

CDP is excited to announce the formation of the CDP Innovation Council, a new initiative aimed at accelerating more innovation in public media fundraising. The Council’s core objective is to work together with public media organizations to solve pressing fundraising challenges and identify opportunities for collective growth in public media. 

"CDP’s Innovation Council is a collaborative endeavor designed to tackle the biggest challenges in public media fundraising,” says Susannah Winslow, Senior Director of Innovation and Partner Services. “By bringing together diverse perspectives, we aim to spark fresh ideas and identify new opportunities for revenue growth across the public media." 

Built on values of learning, collaboration, and adaptability, the CDP Innovation Council will embrace change and commit to testing, refining, evaluating and sharing its successes and failures. Members represent public media organizations of various sizes and license types to encompass a diversity of experiences and perspectives. Council members include: 

  • Sam Harris, Director of Membership, PBS Reno 

  • Lauren Little, Managing Director for Membership & Development, KUT 

  • Kristina Martin, Director of Development, Montana PBS 

  • Katie Miller, Director of Membership, Vermont Public Media 

  • Aishah Rashied Hyman, Executive Director, Public Media Women & Leadership 

  • Skyler Reep, Director of Development, KSPS   

  • Linda Taggart, Vice President of Development, Maryland Public Television 

  • Keegan Vail, Director of Membership, Rocky Mountain PBS  

  • Ian Vosberg, Director of Annual Giving, Nebraska Public Media 

  • Ed Wilson, Chief Development Officer, GBH

  • Colleen Shulman, Chief Philanthropy Officer, PBS KVIE

These members will play a key role in shaping the future of public media fundraising by providing crucial feedback, participating in tests and sharing their insights on best practices. 

This collaborative effort is a key step for CDP, collectively exploring new ways to advance fundraising efforts that support the future of public media and its mission-driven organizations.
